Wow! This was a lovely surprise this morning when I discovered that my original Mini Comic: Tulp Soldaat (Tulip Soldier) won an Honorable Mention prize in the 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards!

Out of nearly 5,000 entries, I was in the top 8 for my category: Illustration. I can't believe I have been chosen, but I am all the more thankful none-the-less. Congratulations to all of the other entries and finalists as well as I know there is some truly amazing work out there!

This is such a great honor to have. I'm truly thankful for the chance I have to be able to win such an award. Along with an official certificate, I am awarded $1000 in free Adobe Software, invited to attend the official award ceremony in Toronto and will have my comic displayed on their website gallery.
More than anything I am glad to have such great support with my artwork through people here and also my friends and family. I always appreciate whenever people look at my work, so thank you everyone for your support. You mean more than you think!
